'my new chapbook was written feverishly last spring in the midst of an outrageously consuming crush. the poems were written throughout the experience, each titled with the date on which they were written. i hardly edited any of these as it seemed important to leave them in their raw, embarrassing form which reflects well my raw, embarrassing form that i take on while falling in-like and vulnerable.

the first couple were written as text messages to my best friend, catch business, from a toilet in a bar in austin. she encouraged me to keep writing them and to chronicle the experience i was having. thanks catch.' - Shy Watson
